Poor Rakhi Sawant somehow or the other ends herself in trouble, being criticised and trolled in and out of the internet users, ne it for the controversial dresses of having Modi’s image all over dress or be for any of her senseless remark, to ban ceiling fans to stop suicide cases. Seems controversy should be her surname!
This time her comment has gone a little too far, that it invited arrest warrant from a local court in Ludhiana for allegedly making ‘objectionable remarks’ against sage Valmiki, who wrote the mythological Hindu epic 'Ramayana'.
The arrest warrant was issued on 9 March based on a complaint filed against her for hurting the religious sentiments of the Valmiki community because of her remarks against the sage during a programme on a private television channel last year, police said today.
"By doing so she has hurt the religious sentiments of a large number of his followers," the complaint said.
"A two-member team of the Ludhiana police has left for Mumbai with the arrest warrant," a police official said.
Rakhi remained absent from the court for the last hearing held on 9 March in spite of the repeated summons sent by the court to her.
The next hearing has been scheduled for 10 April.
