ICC Women’s World Cup: Flawless record of India against Pakistan come in handy as two lock horns

A cricket match between arch rivals India and Pakistan makes a compelling one. Soon after the Champions Trophy, where India was thrashed by Pakistan to lift the trophy, Indian girls will face Pakistan girls in the World Cup on Sunday.

India and Pakistan's women's cricket teams have faced each other in nine ODIs, with India having won all of them. Pakistan has been dismissed for a sub-100 score on three occasions against India, being bundled out for 57 in the 2009 edition of the women's World Cup. India defeated Pakistan by 207 runs in 2008, recording their second-largest victory margin.

Led by Mithali Raj, India won both their matches, beating England women by 35 runs on the opening day of the tournament and West Indies by 7 wickets on Thursday.

Pakistan, on the other hand, are winless in the tournament so far, losing the first to South Africa by 3 wickets and the second to hosts England by 107 runs. It is, hence, a crucial match, also considering the fact that their next match is against Australia, which will also be hard to win.
