Swedish girl’s soccer team ditches names from their jerseys for empowering tweets

The Swedish Football girls on last day have given shock as well as amusement to their fans when they came in jerseys without their names on the back but with inspirational tweets.

The tweets both in English and Swedish languages are inspiring. They read “Believe in you damn self”, “I’m not bossy, I’m the boss”, “I believe women can do anything they decide to”.

The Swedish girls are no behind to their men. In fact they far superior to them, the recent records say. The team has won a silver medal in Rio Olympics last year in Brazil and their achievement has come after defeating US and Brazil. They were also faced the torment from the US goalkeeper Hope Solo labelling them as a “bunch of cowards”.

More to all, they have just only defeated Australia’s Matildas at the Algarve Cup in Portugal.

The girls had released their jerseys earlier this week before they went to take part in Algarve Cup. The players were asked to pick inspiring tweets from Sweden’s women personalities from various fields, which would be printed on the back of their jersey.

The initiative was launched by the Swedish Football Association to inspire the young women to believe in themselves and built the belief that they can achieve anything they want to.
