Hugh Jackman as a superhero Wolverine may help people in trouble and save them moments before death, but it seems n screen Wolverine has taken reel life to real life when he saved Zac Efron from the burning set of their new film, The Greatest Showman after it caught fire.

“It started to get late, and some of the pyrotechnics got a little bit too hot,” said Efron. “We burst out of the building. It looked great on camera. We didn’t know it (during the stunt), but it was pretty intense. I watched playback, and he saved me from a burning building. It later exploded that night. It was a set, but it later burned down.”

Efron added, “Hugh Jackman saving you from a burning building? It’s every girl’s dream.”

The Greatest Showman is slated to hit the theatres this Christmas. Jackman and Efron were at the Las Vegas CinemaCon introducing first footage from the film.

In March 2016, Jackman was caught on camera as he came to the rescue of his son and other beachgoers as rough seas threatened to pull them under at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
