Nagargoje was quoted saying that he knew Nagargoje since 2012 and that he had asked Waghmare to take back the comment, but he didn’t. “So, I decided to delete the group altogether. Later, because I was the admin of the group, I was asked by the police to register the complaint,” Nagargoje was quoted by the Mid-Day.
Cops have seized both Waghmare and Nagargoje’s phones. Waghmare remains in judicial custody after the court rejected his bail-plea citing a threat to his life outside jail.
“We thought the words used against him (Shivaji) did incite violence and thus we arrested him. We have seized the phones of Waghmare and the professor who lodged a complaint against him,” police aded added.
