In India, nothing much needed to call off a wedding. And many a time, such incidents are a feast from the country for several international media.

Adding to the already long list of bizarre reason by which weddings called off, a marriage was called off in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district after the family of both bride and groom engaged in a fight over a single piece of rasgulla.

The incident took place in Kurmapur village of the district as the groom's cousin and a relative of the bride started an argument after the former served him self two rasgullas.

The argument slowly turned into a fight as others joined groom's cousin.

The fight got intense after the groom's family beat up the bride's father. This made the dining hall a war zone as both the parties threw cutleries each other.

The issue was sorted out after police reached the spot. However, the bride refused to agree to the marriage as she witnessed to groom's relatives beating up her father.

A complaint has been filed by the bride's father in Achalganj police station.

In Bengaluru, a wedding was recently called off after the groom's family was asked to wait for a while to get served fresh food.

The groom's family refused to wait and left the house. Though they later agreed for marriage, the bride said she is not ready for it.
