On further questioning, he confessed that he had forged the air tickets to see off his wife and 4 month old child who were travelling to Kolkata.
The main reason he cited for having forged the ticket is to help his wife with the luggage as she would face difficulty in handling the luggage and their toddler. He only wanted to help till the luggage was checked-in.
Amit edited his wife’s ticket and kept a copy with himself which he showed at the terminal security gate to enter the airport premises.
