A man’s innocent efforts to help his wife travel with ease had landed him in trouble. little did Amit Kumar, know that while printing a forged flight ticket would land him in jail.

He would have been safe, hadn’t he been got caught while trying to leave through the through the officers’ exit. One of the airline staff caught and handed him over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers, International Airport Police said.

On further questioning, he confessed that he had forged the air tickets to see off his wife and 4 month old child who were travelling to Kolkata.

The main reason he cited for having forged the ticket is to help his wife with the luggage as she would face difficulty in handling the luggage and their toddler. He only wanted to help till the luggage was checked-in.

Amit edited his wife’s ticket and kept a copy with himself which he showed at the terminal security gate to enter the airport premises.

Amit had moved to Bengaluru just six months ago from Kolkata to work for a software technology company.
