The minor girl was found missing since 10 May when she was out to buy ice cream. Since then no one knew where she was until three men were arrested in connection to her abduction. However, the girl returned to her hometown with sindhoor on her forehead and a pregnant belly.
The girl’s father, working as a contract based driver with the Army alleged that his daughter was kidnapped by a group of 16-17 men who lived nearby and he had been searching for her everywhere since then.
Ever since her missing the gang evacuated from the house they were living, but could not be traced as the landlord had rented out the space without proper verification of their identities.
The girl’s father was forced to approach the High Court to find his girl. "I used to drive to places along with the police but even though we found some clues to my daughter, there was no success in tracing her. The police even cast aspersions on my daughter's character which was quite hurtful, “ the father added.
The court ordering the police to find the missing girl, stringent probe into the kidnapping helped the police with some clues when a witness claimed that the girl had been married off to someone on July 3. The police later took to custody a person who attended the marriage.
Following the man who married the girl surrendered Saket Court along with her who was three months pregnant. Since the girl denied to stay with her parents she was sent to a shelter home.
