A furious Punjab and Haryana High Court today said that Narendra Modi is not the prime minister of BJP, but that of India.
The court responded when Additional Solicitor General Satya Pal Jain, who is representing the centre, saying that yesterday's violence was a matter of the state. "Is Haryana not a part of India? Why are Punjab and Haryana treated like step children?" the court asked.
This was after the Court reprimanded the Haryana government for allowing the ‘city to burn’ for political gains.
The Court told Advocate General Baldev Raj Mahajan that the administrative decisions were paralysed because of political decisions. The Court said the state government have been misleading the Court . “There has been a sea difference between administrative and political decisions. Administrative decisions were paralysed because of political decisions. You have placed a DCP under suspension, but was he the only person responsible for all this? Are you trying to tell us that? CM is the Home Minister. Why have you allowed people to assemble for seven days. CM is protecting them”
The Court has also asked Punjab and Haryana state governments to produce complete list of properties owned by Dera across the states.
