Ten South Indian young film stars and their educational qualification 

South Indian film industry's backbone is its young and vibrant actors who can act, dance, handle heavy action-packed stunt scenes and even sing. Since the industry has a legacy of promoting newcomers and appreciating those who excel in it by offering different characters, one can call it a heaven of young talents.

While some of them attained academic education in acting and dancing from various film institutes, many of them hail from the backgrounds which are entirely different to their current profile like engineering and literature.

SouthLive looks into the educational qualification of ten popular youth actors from South India.

Dhanush

Dhanush is one of the top talented South Indian film actors who ensured his seat among the most sought-after actors in the industry by his character acting and inborn charm. It was his hard work and ability that gained him this fame other than degrees. He completed his matriculation and directly made his grand entry to the films by the support of his relatives who had been in the industry for so long. But in a short span of time, he achieved stardom through his exceptional dance and fabulous actions.

Now he has a safe position in the industry so that he does not need to go back to the classes and study to earn a livelihood.

Jeeva

Being born in a film family, his entry to the movies was comparatively easier. After schooling, he joined a multi-media graphic course. Then it was movies that taught him the rest. His wife holds an MBA degree.

Nivin Pauly

Comparing to his peers, Dulqar Salman and Fahad Fazil, Nivin's entry to the films was a hard earned one. Thus, there is no need of a second thought before calling him a self-made man in Malayalam film industry. Now, he has become the young actor with the most number of hits in Malayalam language. But a very few knows that Nivin opted for movies leaving a job at Infosys, Banglore.He completed Electronics & Communication Engineering from Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly and got himself placed in Infosys. But, his passion for the movie helped him earning money by doing what he loved doing the most.

Prithviraj Sukumaran

Prithviraj, son of famous Malayalam actor Sukumaran made his debut in 2002 with the critically-acclaimed film Nandanam. Before he established himself in the South Indian film industry, he was pursuing his degree in Information and technology (IT) from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He took a break from studies after hew was flooded with offers for acting after his marvelous performance in Renjit's directorial debut Nandanam.

His wife Supriya is a journalist working as a reporter with BBC.

Fahad Fazil

Son of famous Malaylam film director Fazil, Fahad did his Bachelor degree BCOM from S D College Alleppy. After the completion of the bachelor degree, he went to take Masters Degree from Miami University. His debut film Kai ethum dhoorath was a commercial failure. After the movie, he took a long break of 8 years to make his come back to the film industry. During this period, he was pursuing his studies abroad.

Dulqar Salman

Malayalam film's new sensation Dulqar Salman's debut was Srinath Rajendran's Second Show. Being the son of Malayalam film super star Mammotty, Dulqar had an advantage of making it to the films simpler. But, once he established his career in the movies, it was all his hard works and talent that made him one the most popular young actors in South India.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Purdue University, US. He has got married before he made his appearance in films.

Allu Arjun

Telugu actor Allu Arjun is the heartthrob of many girls in South India. The actor's USP is his dance and that was gained him his stardom. Before starting his career in acting, he completed his BBA from MSR College, Hyderabad. He has also attained academic education in martial arts and gymnastics.

Ram Charan

He is the son of well-known Telugu actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. He made his acting debut with the film Chirutha, while his second film, Magadheera was a blockbuster. Being from a film family, his entry to the career of acting was just after his schooling in Ooty and Chennai.

Naga Chaitanya

The Tollywood actor holds a Degree in commerce and has also learned dance and stunt from Hollywood studio. He has also tried a hand in Music and keyboard from Trinity College, London.

Rana Daggubati

The actor who has become a popular face in South India after his path breaking performance in the blockbuster movie Bahubali is basically a visual effects coordinator and photographer.

He made his acting debut with Telugu film "Leader" which earned him Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut South. The actor who made his Bollywood debut with Dum Maaro Dum studied cinematography after schooling.
