Manju Warrier ‘Aami’ for Vidya Balan rejected Kamala Das biopic; Scheduled shooting to begin by March 

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was all set to take up the role of legendary writer Kamala Surayya aka Kamala Das in the biopic ‘Aami’ by director Kamal, but due to ‘creative differences’ backing out from the project, Vidya Balan put the director in a hard situation. The Director has now made up his mind to cast Mollywood actress, Manju Warrier to the life story of the writer confirmed Kamal to SouthLIve.

Since Vidya Balan had backed out, Tabu, Parvathy Jayaram, Parvathy were rumoured to be considered for the role play of ‘Aami’. The director confirms that these were fake news circulated by the media.

In March the shooting will begin for the age of Kamala Das, as the present age as that of Manju Warrier. After two months the shooting for the age of the writer after her prime will be shot. The youth of Kamala Das will be shot through a new face.

The camera will be handled by Madhu neelakandan.
