Kamal Haasan is no new to controversy and in fact, this multiple national award winning actor has an infatuation courting controversies. However, this time Kamal has found himself in a fix over an interview he had given in television. The actor hadn't said any much.
He was seen or heard or overheard, that is not for sure, as is said in a complaint by the members of Hindu Makkal Katchi, a Hindu outfit, that the actor said in an interview that Mahabarata is an epic that where a woman was used as a pawn in gambling.
Nothing much inciting about it. He had only said about a normal thing that is in the popular belief associated with Mahabarata. Panchali, the wife of Pandavar, was in turn pawned for the debts her husbands, yes! she had five of them and it was pure accident from her mother that Panchali was forced to take five of them as her hubbies, had brought home after a marathon Chaturanga (chess-like game) blooper.
Meanwhile, Hindu Makkal Katchi had filed a complaint against the actor for his 'derogatory remarks against Hindus through media and social network sites'.
They claimed that the speech of the actor may incite enmity between groups and cause disturbance to public tranquility.
