Rajanikanth film crew allegedly attack journalists, Director apologizes 

Two photo journalists from an English daily were allegedly attacked by three crew members of Rajnikanth's fim 2.0 in Triplicane in Chennai on Wednesday.

The incident took place in the morning. The City Police had granted the makers of the film to shoot the movie Enthiran 2.0 in the Nochikuppam and Eswardoss Steet in Triplicane between 11 in the night to 6 in the morning. The crew, however, failed to clear the ways and finish their shooting as per the time limit. This has led to a commotion in the place with local engaged in questioning the behaviour of the film crew. The two photographers were passing through the spot tried to picture it using their camera. They have also questioned the crew creating unwanted obstruction. Bouncers, who were on duty to guard the sets, pounced upon the photographers and attacked them.

Police have taken a case in the regard based on the complaint filed by Raghunathan, one of the photo journalists. Police have detained one in the case while two others involved in the case are absconding.

Later, director of the movie, Shankar apologised for the incident at Chennai press Club.
