Kerala actress abduction case: No bail for Dileep, Court sends him to two-day police custody

In actress abduction and assault case, Malayalam actor Dileep has been sent to police custody for two days by a magistrate court here in Angamaly.

The actor who has been incarcerated in Sub-Jail of Alwaye was brought to the court in the morning. People were gathered in large numbers outside the court and welcomed the actor with howls. They have raised slogans against the actor and mocked at him.

Since from the morning a large number of people have poured and gathered around the Court and this has posed a difficulty to the police in establishing security to the actor. And this has made the police to present the actor before Magistrate in his chamber. The bail plea is been heard at the open court.

The police probe, however, proved that the actor has been involved in the conspiracy meetings held at Kochi and Thrissur hotels. Police is of the opinion that he should be brought to all these places as part of evidence collection. The main demand of the Kerala Police in their plea to the court is that more details and evidences have to be collected from him. It is also important to find the others involvement in the conspiracy and for that he should be interogated further.

The 48-year-old actor is charged with conspiracy in the sensational case and was sent to 14 days judicial custody by a court in Angamaly on Tuesday. He was since then lodged in the sub-jail near to his house.

Lawyer K Ramkumar appeared for Dileep said that the actor has been falsely implicated in the case. He was charged under Section 120(B) of IPC (conspiracy).
