Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu accepted a Group-I officer’s job offered by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Reports said the ace badminton player has also decided to settle down in Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati.
Sources said she gave her acceptance letter to the Andhra Pradesh government when she reached Vijayawada to attend the National Women’s Parliament.
The 21-year-old Sindhu’s mother P Vijaya confirmed that the star player has given her consent letter to the state government.

The world number 5 player now lives in Hyderabad.
Vijaya also said that Sindhu will take a call after she gets the appointment order. “After all, it should not affect her game and she has a long way to go in her career,” she said.

According to sources, the Andhra Pradesh government will also offer her a post in the rank of Deputy Collector and she is likely to be conferred with IAS in few years.
Sindhu, who is currently working at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as deputy manager (sports), had also been given a cash award of Rs 3 crore by Andhra government.
Besides this 1,000 square yard residential plot in Amaravati had also been offered to Sindhu.
“The government issued orders to this effect long ago and Sindhu has to identity the location of the plot,” sources close to her family said.
