While the Indian cricket fans are still coming to terms with the exclusion of Karun Nair from the playing eleven of the current Test team taking on Bangladesh in Hyderabad, the family of the youngster has no issues with it. More, Karun's father Kaladharan Nair is batting for Rahane and the decision of the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli and Coach, Anil Kumble to include him in the Test squad

While speaking to Deccan Chronicle newspaper, Nair said that it was fair to include Ajinkya Rahane in the Test match.

Rahane is a good player and deserved to be in the side and this was known to my son. Karun is a strong boy and I am sure he will take it in the right spirit. He will not lose confidence. Karun will get his dues and hopefully will get the chance to play against Australia.Australia is a stronger team (than Bangladesh) and we hope he gets many more runs against them.

He added that the decision was taken collectively by the team management and should respect it. He said that he wanted his son to play cricket for the country.

Karun's coach Shivanand too echoed the same opinion of Nair. He said that Rahane has played for India and scored continuously for the team in which many of his innings were decisive in taking India home.

He was out of the team because of his injury. Now he has recovered and it was a good decision (by the team management) to have him included in the side.

The non-inclusion of Karun Nair was a subject of debate on the eve of the one-off test against Bangladesh. He is the only batsman in the world to be dropped straight from the team after scoring a triple ton, despite having no injury.

He was excluded from the team for making way of Ajinkya Rahane, who played for sometime in that slot of Number 6. Karun has scored an unbeaten 303 against England in his last Test match in Chennai.
