Aussies thrashed, defeated and humiliated India in Pune; First defeat at home after 2012

India faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Australia in Pune on Saturday. Left arm-spinner Steve O' Keefe took 12 wickets in the match to help his country take lead in the four series test.

O'Keefe took six wickets for 35 runs in both his innings to record his maiden test 10-wicket haul.

With an embarrassing defeat that too within three days to a team that tops in the list of Test playing nations, the question of preparing a strategy of a spin-oriented pitch has backfired the hosts.

If that comes as a racing issue then India could not have an answer for how the Australians have batted in the first and second innings making a whopping lead of 430 or more runs.

Australia 260 (Renshaw 68, Starc 61, Umesh 4-32) and 285 (Smith 109, Ashwin 4-119) beat India 105 (Rahul 64, O'Keefe 6-35) and 107 (Pujara 31, O'Keefe 6-35) by 333 runs
