The only worry Marina Piro had when she decided to quit her job to travel the world was Odie. She does not want to leave behind her lovely dog.
Piro who is an Italian-born living in UK for the past five years came up with a brilliant idea to not let her canine out of the trip.
She bought a five-door 2001 Renault Kangoo and converted it into a perfect pet-friendly vehicle-cum-home for the pair to travel in.
The Renault van, which she since named Pam, is equipped with a bed, kitchenette and LED lights to keep cozy at nighttime.
She has written the conversion procedures of the van and pros and cons of traveling with a dog elaborately in her blog titled pamthevan.com. She also kept her Instagram updated while on the move.
She said that the complete restoration of the van cost around £500.
The reason behind her choosing a van over a train, bus or plane is that they do not accept dogs. She says that Odie is comfortable traveling in the van.
I was very lucky with Odie, as he does not mind car travel at all; he mostly sleeps and looks out of the window.Marina Piro in her blog Pamthevan
She also asserts the fact the traveling with dogs is 100 per cent feasible; you just need to be more organized, flexible and informed.
