An elderly man who was pronounced dead, woke up in his coffin while being taken for his burial at the cemetery and asked, “Where am I going?”, reports Alarabiya.

The retired 75-year-old man from southwest China’s Sichuan province was pronounced dead by his son and relatives after he stopped breathing with feet and hands turning cold.

Hours after his proposed death, Haung Ming Quan opened the wooden coffin lid, sat down and asked his children, “What’s happening? Is this my funeral?”

He said he saw wreaths, ornaments, and relatives, and was quite sure the family were apparently attending his funeral gathering.

The son immediately embraced his father and lifted him off the coffin, apologising for the confusion made.

It was reported that Quan did not feel well after he attended his own funeral, eating only soup for two days.
