Many elementary schools have father-daughter dances, while these events are intended for girls and their fathers, some schools allow other people, such as the girls' cousins, brothers and close friends to attend if the father is unavailable to attend. Six year old Noor, from Michigan attended the dance with her elder teen brother, as her parents were divorced and she could not take her father along.
Noor’s 17-year-old brother Mohammad Hasher took her for the dance and the little one couldn’t be happier when she was all down for not being able to attend her first father-daughter dance. Hasher tweeted the pictures which went viral on social media and netizens from all over the world poured out their love towards the elder brother and his cute little sister.
“Got to take my baby sister to her first daddy daughter dance the other night. Sorry you don’t have a dad but I’ll always be there for you,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
The teen brother could not stand his little sister’s face down with a frown so he bought her a new sparkly dress and later took her to school when she said she at least wanted to wear the dress even if she can’t attend the dance.
I actually went downstairs and saw Noor sitting in a dress on the couch with a big frown on her face. I wasn’t going to let my little sister be the one out of all her friends to not be at the danceMohammad Hasher to Buzzfeed
Apart from the wonderful dance, the little Noor won a box of chocolates because Hasher won the title “best dad”.
The kids mother open up that the divorce was particularly tough on Noor because she was too little to understand things. The mother long with her two children moved in from Louisiana to Michigan and had to stay homeless for over two months.
We’ve had to move states, been homeless, and have struggled continuously for the past few months. It has all been very hard on us, but we are thankful for how close it has brought us to each other. To me (the dance) meant so much. It sort of gave me a wake-up call on how important it is to be there for herMohammad Hasher
