Facebook on Tuesday said that it will launch an app for smart TVs soon. The app that will help the social network's users enjoy its videos on a bigger screen is expected to be rolled out in near future, a new blog post of the Facebook said.
As the first stage, the app will be designed for Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV and Amazon Fire TV.
The blog post said, through the new app, the social media users can scroll through their news feed and simultaneously watch videos on their timeline.
It will also have a feature of sounds getting faded in and out as the user scrolls through the videos.
As of now, one needed to tap on a video to hear its sound.
Last month, The Wall Street Journal had reported that Facebook is planning to create an app for TV set-top boxes which will take the Social media giant closer to live TV.
This month, Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg has said that the Facebook will invest more in videos.
The Facebook live, which was launched last year, has turned to be a major video possibility for the users and has become a potential threat to Televisions.
